Steven Hagenmaier Obituary
Steven J. Hagenmaier, 71, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025.
He was the eighth son of the late Alma (Werely) and Doller Hagenmaier, who, together with their boys, operated the Lunch Box (1948-1972) on Lytle Street. He is preceded in death by his oldest brother, Jim (1938-2016); sisters-in-law, Nancy, Lydia, Harriet, and Shelly.
Surviving are brothers, Bob, Tom (Carol), Mike (Linda), Chuck (Jackie), Pat, Jerry and Fred.
Steve was married twice. First to Julie Scalf (daughter Jama) and
second to Vickie Snyder (son Kurtis).
Steve is survived by his daughter, Jama. He is also survived by
his son, Kurtis, who with Jessica Major, have a son named Calvin.
Steve was a 1972 graduate of St. Wendelin High School. He was the
president of that class. He also played basketball, ran track and cross country.
Steve was the winner of the "Kenny Herman Award" for the 1971-1972 season.
After graduating, he attended The Ohio State University from 1972-1973
where he met his first wife, Julie. He later took classes at Cincinnati Technical College in 1974.
Visitation is 9-10 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2025, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830. Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2025 at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, with burial following in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery. A luncheon will then be served in St. Wendelin Parish Hall.
