Maria Rebecca "Becky" Malagon

Maria Rebecca "Becky" Malagon, 81, of Fostoria, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at The Willows at Tiffin.

She was born March 27, 1943, in Fostoria, to Gusto and Maria (Flores) Lopez. She married Frank J. Malagon on July 20, 1963, at St. Wendelin Church in Fostoria.

She is survived by her son, Mark Malagon of Fostoria; three daughters, Mona Dokurno of Toledo, Michelle Overmier of Fostoria, and Melissa Badertscher of Risingsun; sisters, Christina DeLaRosa of Fostoria and Virginia Holien of Lafayette, Colorado; grandchildren, Brianne (Todd) Ridgeway, Bailey (Sean) Murphy, Stephen (Becca Lovejoy) Overmier, Cory (Ali) Lang, Xavier (Kenzie Edwards) Malagon, Gisella Marie Santiago, Sabrina (Joe) Lucius, Courtney (Kelly) Gierhart, and Joe (Kamille) Huff Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Natalie and Leo Ridgeway, Mara and Colette Murphy, Thaeden and Garrett Overmier, Jake Lovejoy, Ryland, Cole, and Emilia Lucius, and Blair and Scarlett Huff.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Malagon; sons-in-law, John Badertscher and Joseph Huff; and brothers, Joseph and Steven Lopez

Becky retired from GLCAP (formerly WSOS Head Start) in Fostoria. She was a 1961 graduate of St. Wendelin High School and member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church. She was a member of Eagles, Fostoria American Legion, and Guadalupe Society. She loved cooking, canning, gardening, and flowers.

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. Burial will be at St. Wendelin Cemetery, Fostoria. Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria.
