James Nomina Obituary
James L. Nomina, 86, of Fostoria, Ohio went home Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, at Toledo Hospital.
He was born March 31, 1938, in Fostoria, Ohio to Geroge & Pearl (Fillhart) Nominee. He married Janice "Jan" Nomina on April 14, 1961, in Fostoria, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Nomina of Fostoria; son, Nicholas (Lauren) Nomina of Fostoria; brothers, Norman (Sandi) Nominee of Foutain Hills, Arizona, Ronald (Penney) Nomine of Findlay; sisters, Doris Isaacs of Tiffin, Juanita (Marc) Eilser of Hoschton, Georgia, Janice L. Nominee of Fostoria; grandchildren, Rachel (Cole Simpson) Nomina-Sharp, Amber AKA Aaron (Morgan Elmore) Nomina, Gabriel Nominee; great-grandson, Vance W. Sharp; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, James L. Nomina Jr.; sisters, Betty Dayton, Helen Baker-Groves, and Sharon Kleinhenz; brother, William J. Nominee; and infant brother, George Nominee Jr.
Jim retired as an electrician from the Union Carbide in Fostoria. He was a 1956 graduate Fostoria High School, a member of Fostoria Assembly of God Church. He was an U.S. Air Force Veteran. Jim enjoyed golfing, bowling, baseball, and wrestling.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, Ohio. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, Ohio. Visitations will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2024, and 10-11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to American Heart Association or the Nomina family.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I worked at the Carbon one summer before College and I'm sure our paths crossed. My father,uncles and grandfather also all retired from there. Jan i knew you from high school and Nick i always try to speak to you at Kroger's when I stop in..
