Willie B. (Tucker) Stevenson

Willie B. (Tucker) Stevenson, 84, of Fostoria, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital in Fostoria.

She was born December 10, 1941, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to George "Pop" and Willie (Middleton) Tucker. She was a graduate of Mary McCloud Bethune High School in Spartanburg and moved to Fostoria. She married Edwin Stevenson in 1974, and he preceded her in death.

Willie B. always wore a smile, had a free spirit and spoke her mind. She was a loving mother, auntie, Godmother and friend. She especially loved all kids.

Willie B. was the oldest member of First Baptist Church in Fostoria, where she served on the Mother's Board and as the church nurse. She was also a member of the NAACP and UAW. In addition, she volunteered at Fostoria Hospital for 12 years and at the Fostoria Sharing Kitchen for over 10 years. In her leisure, Willie B. enjoyed baking and bowling.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Anthony (Cora) Stevenson of Orlando, Florida; stepchildren, Dawn Norman, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Therese Gracy Stevenson-Quinn of Clayton, North Carolina, Danny Stevenson of Greenville, South Carolina, Christopher Stevenson of Fostoria, Cynthia Stevenson of Toledo, and Anthony Stevenson of Maryland; two grandsons, Tucker and Joseph "Joe Joe" Jr. Stevenson; granddaughter, Cori Angelle Stevenson; great-granddaughter, Caprii Amour Macklin; a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as Goddaughter, Tamara Tucker; special nephew, Ernest 'Champ" Tucker Jr.; and special nieces, Jodi Tucker and Rhonda Tucker.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, JC Tucker, Ernest Tucker Sr., and George 'Robert" Tucker.

Home Going Services will begin at noon Friday, April 24, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 534 Lynn St., Fostoria, with paying of last respects from 11 a.m. until time of service.

Committal services and burial will follow at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, has been entrusted with arrangements.
