Sue Ann Arbogast

Sue Ann Arbogast, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born July 11, 1938, in Columbus, to Leon Mark and Marjoria Mae (Motter) Mitten. She married John Arbogast on July 16, 1955, in Castalia, and he preceded her in death Aug. 28, 2011.

She is survived by her sons, Steven (Carol) Arbogast of Emerald Isle, North Carolina, and John "Bones" (Kerry) Arbogast of Catawba Island; daughters, Jo (Brett) Might of Republic and Susan Galipeau of Tiffin; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and son, James R. Arbogast.

Sue attended Calvert High School and later graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1957. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and retired from Direct Care at Tiffin Developmental Center after many years. She enjoyed vacationing, especially to the Outer Banks in North Carolina and to Japan. Sue also enjoyed the many friends she made during her years at TDC, loved her family, and cats and dogs and later in life. She looked forward to her weekly lunch with friends.

Sue's funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424 with the Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Seneca County, Heartland ProMedica Hospice, or St. Mary Catholic Church.
