Rosetta M. "Rose" Norris

Rosetta M. "Rose" Norris, 99, of Fostoria, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.

She was born September 10, 1926, in Zaleski, Ohio, to the late Arthur and Elva (Criss) Ward. She married Robert Shilling in 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1969. She then married Henry "Bud" Norris in 1988, and he preceded her in death in 2014.

Surviving are three children, Stephen Lee (Patricia) Shilling, Vanlue, Sharon Elaine (Harry) Colvin, Arcadia and Richard Douglas (Vickie) Shilling, Findlay; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Shilling, Michigan; and numerous grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael Shilling and John Shilling; four grandchildren, Heidi, Christopher, Wendy and Mikhael III; and two brothers, Larry Ward and James Ward.

Rose worked for many years as a waitress at Petti's Alpine Village Restaurant in Findlay and at Findlay Country Club. She was a member of First Christian Church in Fostoria and enjoyed cooking, reading, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. Rose also enjoyed visiting Amish country and going to the lake in Michigan.

Visitation is 11 a.m.- noon Friday, February 27, 2026, at MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830, where the funeral service will begin at noon with Pastor Jim Klausing presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay.
