Sean was always generous and resourceful, sharing his advice and contacts with our family in all things real estate. He stepped up and helped me with a problematic property in 2014. This year, his final act of deep generosity was to completely change a homeless man's life. My 66 year old friend, James (whom I met in a nearby park), had been homeless for 5 years after his mother died and after the Sonoma fire disasters. I found out he owned a home and called Sean who waded through the complicated legal issues and bought the property and guaranteed James a good income for most likely the rest of his life. Now James will be living in his own place out of the elements. Sean was kind and patient and respectful as he assisted James throughout the process. I hold such high regard for Sean. The world is missing this special man.

We have lost a precious and irreplacable part of our whole as a family. From the time he was a baby he had a sweetness and placidity to his personality that none of us could match. As he grew up he also developed an ornery and hilarious sense of humour- dry, informed, irreverent and ribald. With no children of his own he was definitely the family " FUNCLE!!" The fun uncle that teased the crap out of all the kids and they loved him for it! The loss has left an emptiness in our group but he remains with us, unseen but still here- the Circle indeed remains unbroken. Love him and miss him painfully every day. Thank you to all who have expressed their love and loss so kindly to our family.

I am slow to add my condolences to you all. My heart is very sad for you in the loss of your dear brother. I remember happy times at family reunions and Sean and Matthew making a little fat, red-haired girl welcome when grandma Nelle brought me with her on a visit. I recall Sean, as a tall, blonde, ornery but sweet young man. Your entire family is so special to me. Sean will not be forgotten! I love you all and pray peace and God's blessings over you all. Cousin Susie (Markey) Edwards.

Throughout his life, Sean was a constant source of kindness and encouragement, with measured doses of humor and sarcasm. In his nearly 69 years on the planet, Sean never let the rigid boundaries or norms of any profession or situation box him in. He was bright, shrewd, creative, compassionate, and outspoken. Sean was devoted to Connie, his wife of 20 years, to his late parents, his 13 siblings, and his many nephews and nieces, and to his work in the real estate and financial worlds. He loved hunting ducks, fishing in the ocean, the family fishing trips to Canada and Alaska, and tending to his vegetable and herb gardens. Sean was one-of-a-kind in so many ways and his passing leaves a huge void in all of our lives. He reminded us often of our dad with a very similar stature, mannerisms, look, and that characteristic twinkle in his eye. A light that has warmed us, educated us and entertained us for nearly seven decades has gone dark. We can not find the words to adequately express how much he will be missed.
