Richard P. Rumschlag

Richard P. Rumschlag, 80, of Fostoria, died Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Richard was born June 27, 1942, in Tiffin, to Wilburt G. and Gertrude O. (Wellman) Rumschlag. He married Frances Magers and she preceded him in death. He married Doris Maneche and she also preceded him in death. He married Donna Kreger Holt on June 7, 2000, and she survives.

Richard is also survived by his daughter, Amy Rumschlag of Tiffin; stepchildren, Billy, David, and Brian Steward, Tammy Burley, Troy Holt, Tony Holt, and Tina Truxillo; sister, Kathleen Eader; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; children, David, Ricky, and Julie Rumschlag; three brothers, Wilburt H., James J., and Robert E. Rumschlag; and two sisters, Anna and Emma.

Richard proudly served his country in U.S. Air Force out of Goosebay Labrador. He sold insurance for Western and Southern and retired from Union Carbide, Fostoria. He also worked for Therma True in B.G. and Nissan in Findlay.

Richard was a loving servant of our Heavenly Father and completed Faith Bible Institute classes. He was a member of Dillon Road Baptist Church for 25 years and participated in many activities.

Richard's celebration of life will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his wife, Donna, to help with funeral expenses.
