Cynthia Beatrice Kirby

Cynthia Beatrice Kirby, 69, of Fostoria, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born January 14, 1957, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to James H. and Edna (Tucker) Imes Sr.

She is survived by a son, John D. Kirby Jr. of Fostoria; grandchildren, Terrell (Yesenia) Kirby, Braden Kirby and Trenton Kirby; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Camilla Kirby; and a host of nieces & nephews.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James H. Imes Jr. and Ernest Imes; sister, Dawn Imes; and an infant sister.

Cynthia worked at Honeywell in Fostoria and was a graduate of Fostoria High School. She was a longtime member of Fostoria Baptist Church.

Cindy was a selfless, loving and caring God-fearing woman. From a young child, her mission was to take care of others. She was always doing something for someone else. Not seeking accolades. Just being her Angelic self. She was "thee" best mother in the world! She loved her family with everything she had. Her trust and faith in the Lord were unparalleled. Those who know her...I'm sure they are thinking of their own personal experiences with her. The past three years of her life were very difficult. However, her faith never wavered. She maintained her dignity. Her strength and courage. Her favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Funeral services will begin at noon, Friday, March 20, 2026, at Fostoria Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Burton officiating. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Visitation will be for one hour prior to services.
