Maurice Stephen "Steve" Ink

Maurice Stephen "Steve" Ink, 74, of Tiffin, died at 1:47 a.m. Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

He was born January 21, 1950, in Tiffin, to Maurice and Margaret (Hahn) Ink.

Steve is survived by four sisters, Mary Ann Kramer of Tiffin, Maureen Shaull of Findlay, Martha Jane Reedy of Tiffin, and his twin sister, Margaret "Peggy" Elchert of Sandusky; two brothers, John (Vy) Ink of Tiffin and David Ink of Fostoria; a cousin, Charles (Linda) Hahn of Brighton, Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his eldest sister, Marilyn Bugner.

Steve was a 1970 graduate of Fostoria High School, and he served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972 during the Vietnam War. After returning from the war, he resided in Tiffin to be close to his family and friends. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

He was loved dearly by his brothers, sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Steve loved to walk and be outside in nature and visit with the many friendly residents of Tiffin.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2025, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe St. Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113.

The funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, officiated by the Rev. Jesse Chick. The rosary will be recited 30 minutes prior to Mass at the church.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, with military rites by United Veteran's Council of Seneca County.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
