Mary Myers Obituary

Mary R. Myers

Mary R. Myers, 87, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully after leading a long and happy life. Born February 3, 1938, Mary was raised in Walbridge, Ohio, by her parents, William and Gladys (Baker) Howorth. After losing her parents at an early age, Mary took on the responsibility of managing a household that included roomers while also raising her younger brother. After the passing of her beloved daughter, Kerry, and shortly after, her husband, Jack, she continued to maintain her home and care for her brother with unwavering dedication.

Mary's home, especially during the holidays, was a place of warmth and joy. Those lucky enough to visit during Christmas will remember it as magical, lovingly decorated, and full of holiday spirit. A true Ohioan at heart, Mary was a devoted fan of Cleveland Guardians (formerly Indians), Cleveland Browns, and, of course, The Ohio State Buckeyes-Go Bucks! She and Jack shared a love for boating on Lake Erie and cherished their winters spent in Ft. Myers, Florida.

Mary is survived by her children, Amy (Randy) Schwartz and Donald Myers; grandchildren, Carl Schwartz, Christopher (Lisa) Schwartz, Andrew (Abby) Schwartz, and Amanda (Jesse) Gase; great-grandchildren, Corbyn, Laurel, Harlow, Morrison, Hailey, Allison, and a great-grandson expected July 6; and brother, William Howorth.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; daughter, Kerry; and infant sister, Rebecka.

Funeral services will be private. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to a charity of the donor's choice.
