Martha Lucille "Lucy" Martin

Martha Lucille "Lucy" Martin, 88, of Fostoria, passed away peacefully at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, with her loving caregivers and friends.

Lucy was born to Frank and Edna Cooper Crago, in Lick Ridge, and grew up in Jackson County.

She married the love of her life, Charles Eugene Martin, on Dec. 29, 1965. God blessed their marriage with much love for each other, God, and others. After moving to Fostoria as a young girl, Lucy worked for five years as hostess at Fostoria Woman's Club and eventually retired for health reasons from RCA and Harris Corporation in Findlay with 29 years and eight months of service. Lucy was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, Findlay. Gene and Lucy enjoyed showing their '40 Ford Coupe in car shows and traveling to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood.

Lucy is survived by many nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Richard Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Charles (Gene); and sisters, Stella Kathleen Broughton and Mary Jane White.

Lucy's greatest wish was to remain in her home after breaking her hip which did happen because of the loving care of her special caregivers, Susan, Rubi, and Steffani.

Visitation will be 12:30-1 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023, at Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria. Lucy's funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor David Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fostoria Woman's Club scholarship fund and mailed to 135 E. Fremont St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830.
