Karen Emerine Obituary
Karen Lauretta Emerine, 75, of Alvada, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, at The Manor at Greendale, Findlay.
She was born Oct. 1, 1947, in Fostoria, to the late Gerald S. and Marguerite R. (Steyer) Coleman. She married John Emerine and he survives in Alvada.
Also surviving are children, Johnathon (Kelly) Emerine of Chardon, Angie (Sandy) Peters of Fostoria, David Peters of Bascom, and Denise (Dennis) Ruffing of Clyde; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Gerald (Carol) Coleman of Tiffin, Lynn Coleman of Fostoria, Kevin (Deb) Coleman of Fostoria, Stephen (Sandy) Coleman of Fostoria, Jeff Coleman of Fremont, and Gerard Coleman and Ritchie (Edna) Coleman, both of Fostoria; and sister, Colleen (Fred) Reinhart of Tiffin.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, LeRoy Coleman; and sisters, Cheryl Kimmet and Dalene Coleman.
Karen was a homemaker and aide at Good Shepherd Home and greeter at Meijer store in Findlay. She was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel, and its Rosary Altar Society, and life member of New Riegel American Legion Auxiliary and New Riegel Moose.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830, and 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at All Saints Catholic Church, New Riegel.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Timothy Kummerer presiding. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Alvada.
Memorials are suggested to the church or New Riegel American Legion.
