Janet Sue Nye

Janet Sue Nye, 80, of Fostoria, passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at her home.

She was born Nov. 5, 1943, in Fostoria, to Woodrow and Wynona (Moran) Brown. She married Jack Nye on March 10, 1962, in Fostoria, and he preceded her in death Dec. 3, 2020.

Janet is survived by three children, Jack (Sheila) Nye II, David (Kandy) Nye, and Kathy (Andrew) Marshall, all of Fostoria; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Sharon Caudill of Fostoria.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Ronnie Brown, Judy Burns, and Gary Brown.

Janet worked at Budd Company in Carey where she retired after 29 years of service and was a member of U.A.W. Local 1803. In her younger years, she liked to bowl and after she retired, she enjoyed playing bingo, especially with her sister, Sharon. Janet also enjoyed playing on her computer and watching the Game Show Network with her cat, Random. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially Autumn and Lili.

There will be no services.

Arrangements are being handled by MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830.
