James Cunningham Obituary

James T. "Jim" Cunningham

James T. "Jim" Cunningham, 63, of Logan, and formerly of West Jefferson, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at his residence.

He was born May 19, 1959, in Columbus, to the late James Boyd and Irene (Holloway) Cunningham. He married Dawn McBride and to that union they had three children, Carly, Kelly, and Nick.

Jim is survived by two daughters, Carly (Ian) Williamson of Orient and Kelly (Terrence) Hoening of Fostoria; son, Nick Cunningham of Columbus; two grandchildren, Cade Tobias Hoening and Tristan Cassius Hoening; grandson on the way from Carly and Ian; sister, Sharon Kaeppner of Logan; brothers, John (Ellen) Cunningham of Florida and Michael (Lori) Lehnert of Columbus; nieces and nephews, AJ and Andrew Cunningham, Billy Kaeppner, Sheri (Keith) Young, and Kathy (Kevin) Jones; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, William A. "Bill" Kaeppner; and stepfather, John Lehnert.

Jim was a 1977 graduate of Hamilton High School and worked for National City Bank in Columbus for several years. Jim was a simple man. He enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, and watching sports, especially Ohio State football, horse races, and NASCAR.

All services for Jim will be private.

Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus.

Memorial contributions are suggested to charity of the donor's choice.
