Gene Arthur Graves Jr.

Gene Arthur Graves Jr., 64, of Findlay, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.

He was born May 2, 1961, in Fostoria, to Gene Arthur and Sandy (Bethel) Graves Sr. He is survived by his wife, HeatherLynn Graves; bonus children, Ronald (Leah) Schrecengost Jr., Nicholas Schrencengost, Tyler Schrencengost, Andrew (Amanda) Duesenberry, Kayln Duesenberry, and Izabella Plansinis; four granddaughters and one grandson; siblings, Christine (Marvin) Hudson of Findlay, Tammie Graves (Ray Martinez) of Fostoria; and brother, John (Jennifer) Graves of California as well as his stepmom, Bonnie Graves of Missouri; nieces and nephews, Lance Roelle, Anthony Mora, Robert Graves, Josh Graves, Zach Graves, Brittany Cook and Michael (Brooke) Cook, Jedidiah Hartman, Jill (John, Jr.) Miller, Crystal (Mark) Wonderly, Zachery (Amanda) Graves, James Dieter III, Elijah Samuel Adams Dieter and Sierra Dieter; and several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kelly Graves; and brother, Bill Graves.

Gene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Findlay. He worked for Petals by Great Scot in Findlay, as well as S & G Gas station. He also worked at Roki and Centrex, where he had an extended family. Gene was a diamond art enthusiast who loved working on cars and motorcycles. He especially loved his Harley and enjoyed singing karaoke. Additionally, Gene was a fan of all sports, especially Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns; he was a former Browns Backer member.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, at Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline St, Fostoria.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to HeatherLynn Graves to help with funeral expenses.
