Mary L. Ruggiero

Mary L. Ruggiero, 79, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday morning, January 29, 2026, at The Courtyard at Tiffin.

She was born October 29, 1946, in Tiffin, to Daniel and Elizabeth (Strausbaugh) Kirian. On November 4, 1967, she married Frank J. Ruggiero, and he preceded her in death May 19, 2018.

Survivors include her son, Daniel Anthony (Lucy Rene) Ruggiero of Fostoria; daughter, Michele (Doug) Beuoy of Tiffin; sister, Marge (Ken) Colatruglio of Lehigh Acres, Florida; grandchildren, Nikki Wise, Alexandria (Connor) Smith, Doug Beuoy and Chelsea Keckler; and six great-grandchildren, Braxton, Brody, Bennett, Aria, Juan and Kaileb; and her close friend for the past year, Ron Troxell.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Kirian; and sister, Rose Walters.

Mary was a 1965 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School. She retired from United Insurance Company as a department manager. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, AMVETS Post 48, Eagles 402 and Tiffin Moose Lodge 846. Mary enjoyed traveling, puzzle books, casino trips and babysitting. She was an avid Michigan fan and loved attending the grandkids and great grandkids sporting events.

Her Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Jesse Chick officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with family from 4-7 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2026, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
