Gary E. Conine

Gary E. Conine, 75, of rural Arcadia, passed away Monday evening, May 5, 2025, at Bay Park Hospital in Oregon, Ohio, following a brief illness.

Born March 21, 1950, in Fostoria, Gary was the son of the late Carl and Dorothy (Deiter) Conine. He was a 1968 graduate of Arcadia High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University.

On November 27, 1976, Gary married Karen Wiler, who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Lindsay M. Hosey and Lori R. Conine; his beloved grandchildren, Breanna, Jacob, and Brooklyn; his brothers, Ronald (Lynette) Conine and Douglas (Joan) Conine; and his sister, Sandy K. Franks.

A lifelong and well respected farmer, Gary, was deeply committed to his land and community. He served as a Washington Township Trustee for 16 years and was a member of the Farm Service Board. In his free time he enjoyed snowmobiling trips out west, going on cruises, and traveling with his family. He cherished attending his grandchildren's events, which brought him immense joy.
