William A. "Bill" Conine

William A. "Bill" Conine, 66, of Fostoria, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Birchaven Village in Findlay.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernie and Patsy and his beloved dogs, Buddy and Gracie.

Surviving are his devoted wife, Tammy (Burrows); sons, David and Troy; stepson, Bill; stepdaughter, Kimberly; sisters, Steph and Kris; two nephews and a niece; two grandsons; a stepgranddaughter; five stepgrandsons; and ex-wife, Helen.

Bill enjoyed spending time with his father flying at the old Fostoria Airport. He loved boating and fishing, farming with his grandparents and helping other farmers in the area. He especially enjoyed visits with his sons and was so proud of the men they have become. One of his favorite memories was seeing and holding his first grandson. He could never stop talking about his grandsons calling him on his birthday and singing Happy Birthday. He also enjoyed watching his stepgrandsons driving go-karts on the farm, getting muddy, washing up and doing it all over again.

Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He served 15 years, spending most of his time in Florida. He was proud of his service and missed it terribly.

Bill belonged to American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and AMVETS.

There will be a memorial service beginning at noon Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, with United Veterans of Fostoria providing military honors. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.- noon prior to service.
