Edward Joseph Kummerer

Edward Joseph Kummerer, 60, of Findlay, passed away at Bridge Hospice Care Center on Thursday, July 21, 2022, after a courageous eight-year battle with cancer. He was born April 16, 1962, in Tiffin, to the late John H. Sr. and Dorothy (Schreiner) Kummerer. He married Joy (Woolley) Zirger on April 22, 2016, and she survives. Also surviving are three children, Rachel Dolley, Liza (Joshua Wells) Kummerer, and Jonathan Kummerer; stepson, Tot Zirger; stepdaughter, Zoie Zirger; and granddaughters, Emma and Mora Wells; four older brothers, John Jr. (Susan) Kummerer, Dennis (Joan) Kummerer; Fr. Timothy Kummerer, and Kevin (Irene) Kummerer.

Ed was a 1980 graduate of Calvert High School, Tiffin, worked for Cooper Standard Products, Bowling Green, and was owner of a cleaning business with his wife, Joy.

Ed loved his family and being a grandpa. He was an avid Notre Dame, Oakland Raiders, and Cleveland Guardians fan. He loved playing golf, enjoyed the outdoors, and camping at Arrowhead Campgrounds.

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.

Ed's funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME with Father Timothy Kummerer officiating and burial will be immediately following at Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorials can be directed to the family and online condolences can be shared via coldrencrates.com.
