Edith Tyson Obituary

Edith M. Tyson

Edith M. Tyson, 98, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, at St. Catherine's Manor of Fostoria.

She was born Feb. 28, 1924, in Rutland, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Ethel (Chaney) Snowden. She married Norman E. Tyson Sr. and he preceded her in death in 1984.

Surviving are two children, James (Angie) Tyson of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Alan (Sue) Tyson of Jerry City; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Long of Sacramento, California.

She was also preceded in death by three sons, Norman E. Tyson Jr., Daniel Tyson, and Louis Tyson; grandsons, Mark and Jimmy; brothers, Cecil, Harold, Thomas, and Bernard; and sister, Imogene.

Edith was a homemaker and member of Fostoria Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, riding motorcycles, and taking care of her animals.

There will be no services.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York in care of the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, 407 N. Countyline Street, Fostoria, Ohio, 44830.
