Donna Scifers Obituary
Donna Marie Scifers, 79 of Fostoria, passed away at 7:07 a.m. Thursday, April 16, 2026, at her daughter's home in Springfield, Ohio.
Donna was born March 12, 1947, in Tell City, Indiana, to the late John R. and Ruth (Burkhart) Ray. She married Randy L. Scifers, March 11, 1983, in Fostoria, and he survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving are daughters, Tamara M. Luttrell, Alaska and Stephanie Griffin, Springfield; stepchildren, Randy L. Scifers Jr., Haskins, Scott M. Scifers and Holly Jo (Vinnie) Reinhart of Fostoria; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Rebecca (Mark) Eldridge, Tennessee, and John (Loretta) Ray Jr, Virginia.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas R. Ray and Michael I. Ray.
Donna retired from the former Excello Corp., Fostoria. She was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, a former Eucharistic Minister, and former funeral dinner worker at the church. She enjoyed visiting the VFW Auxiliary, Moose, AMVETS and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
Visitation is from 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830. Funeral Mass will follow at noon at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Poggemeyer presiding. Committal services and burial will then take place at St. Wendelin Catholic Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at St. Wendelin Parish Hall.
Memorial contribu-tions are suggested to American Cancer Society.
