Clayton Myers Obituary

Clayton C. Myers

Clayton C. Myers, 95, of Fostoria, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, with family by his side. He was born Aug. 22, 1928, in Amsden, to James & Grace (Bordner) Myers. He married Mary Jane Allison on November 20, 1946, in Fostoria, and she preceded him in death May 15, 2017.

He is survived by four grandchildren, Mickey (Mickey) Myers, Renee (Adam) Steele, Ronald (Evelyn) Myers II, and Krystle (Jeremy) Scott; 11 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Clayton was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, Cliff and Ronald Myers; and two brothers, Irwin and Emerson Myers.

Clayton was a farmer and worked at Union Carbide. He graduated from Jackson Liberty High School, where he played basketball and was known as "One Shot Myers." Clayton loved the lake and fishing, swimming at the YMCA, eating out, ice cream and cookies, watching westerns, and Bewitched. He also enjoyed carpentry and played the violin and harmonica.

Graveside services and burial will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Knollcrest Cemetery, Arcadia, with Pastor Mark Self officiating.

Memorials can be made to Geary Family YMCA.
