Charles William (Bill) Diebley

Charles William "Bill" Diebley of West Independence passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at home surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Bill was born Sept. 15, 1936, to the late Bernice (Myers) and Harold Diebley.

Bill leaves behind his sons, Jason and Sean (Warren) Diebley, both of West Independence; grandchildren, Cody Minard and Holly Brogan, both of Arcadia, and Amanda Bame (Minard) and her husband, Zach Bame, of West Independence; great-grandchildren, Knox and Rayna Bame, both of West Independence; and brother, Joe (Christine) Diebley of West Independence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Cole); daughter, Kelly R Minard; son, David W. Diebley; sister, Dorla Walter; and brother, John Diebley.

Bill graduated from Arcadia High School in 1955 and served in U.S. Army soon after. He was a tire builder at Cooper Tire for 47 years as well as with his brother, Joe, continued the family farm tradition and built a field drainage business.

He was a member of West Independence Church where Bill's funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Biglick Twp. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, and 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be directed towards charity of the donor's choice.
