Bartel Bowe Obituary
Bartel Robert "Bart" Bowe, 62, of Gibsonburg, left this world on his own terms Sunday, March 5, 2023, at his home.
He was born Oct. 15, 1960, in Fremont, to Michael and Theresa (Miller) Bowe. Bart married Valerie Egbert on April 2, 2010, in Toledo.
Bart is survived by his loving wife, Valerie; mother, Theresa Gillespie (Franz Papesch) of Oregon; stepmother, Jennie Bowe of Risingsun; stepchildren, Christopher Egbert of Marion, Jacob (Melissa) Egbert of Gibsonburg, and Nicole Egbert of Columbus; brothers, Scott Bowe (Lois) of Oak Harbor and Loren Bowe (Lisa) of Rhode Island; sisters, Wendy (Paul) Buehrer of Oregon, Lisa Bowe of Mayfield Village, and Beth Bowe of Oak Harbor; and grandchildren, Ayden, Ayvah, Ayvri, and Aybel.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Bowe; sister-in-law, Nancy Bowe; and brother-in-law, Paul Kidd.
Bart was a 1979 graduate of Lakota High School and then worked many years for City of Fostoria as Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator. Hunting and fishing was his passion. He enjoyed spending his time at his cabin in southern Ohio and his greatest love was spending time with his family.
Per Barts request, a celebration of life service will be 12-4 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Gibsonburg American Legion, 300 S. Main St.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne.
