Anthony Filliater Obituary
A celebration of life for Anthony J. "Tony" Filliater Sr. will be 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at Downtown ReEvented, 113 S. Main Street, Fostoria.
Anthony J. "Tony" Filliater Sr., 78, of Fostoria, passed away at 11:05 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, 2023, at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital.
He was born June 6, 1945, in Brunswick, Germany, to Delbert and Dorothy (Vincent) Filliater, who preceded him in death. He married Patricia J. Jacobs on Sept. 5, 1964, in Monroe, Michigan, and she passed away Aug. 29, 2022.
Tony is survived by a son, Anthony Jr. "Tony" (Jill) Filliater of Fostoria; daughter, Tammy Sue (Mike) Jacobson of Montana; grandchildren, Michelle (Terra) Filliater and Michael Filliater; great-grandson, Jayden Lee Filliater; and sister, Deb (John) Huber of Fostoria.
Tony retired from Atlas Crankshaft, Fostoria, after 35 years as an inspector and was a school bus driver for Arcadia Local Schools. He had been an active member of Local 336.
Tony helped with junior baseball for many years and was a board member. Tony and Pat enjoyed camping in Vanlue with their family.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Arcadia Marching Band in care of Hoening & Son Funeral Home, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830.
