Vivien Marr Obituary

92, of Acton, MA, formerly of Flint, MI and Ashmore, Nova Scotia, passed away on April 8, 2023 at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA with family by her side.

She was the beloved wife of Walter Marr, with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage in December.

Born on January 30, 1931 in Flint, MI she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Eulalie (Bourque) Theriault. When she was 13 months old, the family relocated to Nova Scotia, where her parents were originally from.

In 1964 Walter, Vivien, and their 2 daughters, Shannon and Shelley, moved from Nova Scotia to West Concord, MA. Five years later, after their son Shaun was born, they bought a house in Acton, which is still the family home.

Vivien dedicated her life to running the family home and bringing up her children and her granddaughter, Rhiannon. In her later years she cherished the relationship she and Walter had with Rhiannon and John's children (their great grandchildren.)

Along with her husband, she is survived by her 3 children, Shannon (David) Wheeler of Groton, MA; Shelley Marr of Acton; and Shaun (Heidi) Marr of Merrimack, NH. She is also survived by her granddaughter Rhiannon (John) Royal of Lowell, MA and 4 great grandchildren, Aubrey Vivien, Jack, Cody, and Rose. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Edith Mullen, and brothers Eddie and Richard Theriault.

Visiting hours Wednesday, April 19 from 4pm-6pm at Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Avenue, Acton, MA.

Funeral service is Thursday, April 20, 11am at Acton Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be family only at a later date.
