Stephen Rupp Obituary
Stephen Lee "Steve" Rupp, 79, of Delaware, Ohio, and formerly of Fostoria, passed away Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, at Legacy Bucyrus in Bucyrus.
He was born Dec. 11, 1944, in Fostoria, to Marvin D. and Gayle (Riggs) Rupp. He married Darlene M. Sforzo on Jan. 8, 1972, in Monroe, Michigan, and she survives in Delaware, Ohio.
Steve is also survived by two sons, Matthew Lee (Lauren) Rupp and Jeffrey John (Molly) Rupp, both of Delaware; grandchildren, Ethan, Lilly, Ruby, Wyatt, and Beau; sister, Nancy (Pete) Vladovich; many nieces and nephews; and many brothers and sisters-in-law. He also leaves behind special friends known from childhood.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant brother, Phillip Rupp.
Steve graduated from Fostoria High School in 1962 and attended Miami University. He retired as a contractor salesman in the lumber business after many years. He owned Rupp's Parti Mart along with his Dad and was a former member of High Street United Methodist Church, both in Fostoria.
Steve was a proud Eagle Scout and avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed camping, boating, and remodeling homes. He especially enjoyed following his children's sports and most currently his grandchildren's.
Steve's committal service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2024, at the Veteran's Memorial Chapel of Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria. Burial will follow at Fountain Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimer's Association or a local food bank.
Arrangements are being handled by HOENING & SON FUNERAL HOME, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830.

Steve was a great inspiration to me. He was my boss when I started at Furrow Building Materials. I taught me how to be professional in business. He was very easy to talk to. And had so much knowledge. My condolences to the Rupp Family.
