Shirley Hushour Obituary
Shirley Hushour, 87, of Tiffin, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, at Elmwood Assisted Living, Tiffin.
Shirley was born in 1936 in Johnson County, Kentucky, to Charles and Dixie (Litton) Bayes. She married Everett Hushour in 1952 and he died in 2011.
Shirley is survived by her children, Rick Hushour and Desi Shumaker; grandchildren, Scott Shumaker, Melissa Shumaker, and Amanda Shumaker; and sister, Trudy Togrul.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Gary Shumaker; brothers, Elgin Bayes, Bill Bayes, Danny Bayes, Charles Bayes, and Steven Bayes; and sisters, Mary Lou Dennis, Juanita Bayes, Irene Shaffer, and Virginia Earhart.
Shirley worked in the Tiffin and Fostoria area for many years as a LPN in geriatrics nursing. She loved her family, friends, and cats. She enjoyed flowers, visiting Amish Country, Gaither music, and poetry. Her grandchildren were a constant joy in her life.
Private family services will be at Spring Grove Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Shirley's honor to Wyandot County Humane Society to benefit their Hope Clinic. They may be sent to Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, 225 West Findlay Street, Carey.

I worked with Shirley at St Francis and did alterations for her many years.Such warm friendly lady, she will be much missed.
