Ruth A. "Ruthie" Reinhard

Ruth "Ruthie" A. Reinhard, 81, of Fostoria, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Independence House, Fostoria. She was born April 5, 1944, in Fostoria, to Ira & Mary (Kimmet) Reinhart.

She is survived by fiancé, David Yambert of over 20 years; daughter Deborah Ginnever of Westerville; stepchildren, Brad Koepher of New Reigel, Teresa Yambert, Denice Yambert-Walter, both of Fostoria; grandchildren, Hailey Ginnever of Columbus, Alex Ginnever of Columbia, South Carolina, Michael (Sara) Lewis of Butler, Indiana, Matthew (Samantha) Lewis of Bryan, Krysta Endicott, Valeria Goodman, both of Findlay, Heather Eubank of Istanbul, Turkey, Lindsey Eubank of Clyde, Lucas (Melissa) Walter of Parma, and Danielle (Alex) Spangler of Fostoria; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Reinhart, Rich (Linda) Reinhart and sister, Mary Lou (Ron) Blaser, all of Toledo.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathy Lewis-Simons; and brother, Gene Reinhart.

Ruth was a homemaker while the children were young, then worked at Honeywell in Fostoria for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed feeding all the critters in her backyard, especially the hummingbirds. She also enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events, spending time with friends from church and teaching Sunday School at St. John's U.C.C. in Fostoria. Ruth was known for being very generous and loving with family and friends. She was a great cook and even made special dishes while taking care of the "grand pups." Ruth was definitely one of a kind. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you for the compassionate and respectful care she received from Bridge Hospice and Independence House.

Memorial services will be at noon Monday, September 8, 2025, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Amy Kinney officiating. Visitation will begin two hours prior to service.

Memorials can be made to St. John's Sunday School or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
