Robert S. "Bob" Taylor Sr.

Robert S. "Bob" Taylor Sr., 75, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.

He was born April 10, 1950, in Mt Vernon, Ohio, to Carl W. and Mary E. (Neighbarger) Taylor. He married Elizabeth "Liz" (Spacher) Taylor, April 3, 1998, in Bowling Green, Ohio, and she survives him.

Also surviving are his children, Reneé S. (Jeff) Fortney of Fostoria and Robert S. (Chelsy) Taylor Jr. of Fostoria; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Taylor of Texas; brothers, John (Linda) Taylor of Fostoria, Paul Taylor of Fostoria, and Mark Taylor of Florida; and former spouse, Sandra L. Taylor of Fostoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, David and William Taylor.

Bob was a 1968 Fostoria High School graduate. He was the president of the family-owned business, J.A. Miller Tile Co. in Bascom, Ohio, and had previously worked for Graybar Electric in Raleigh, North Carolina. In his leisure, he enjoyed bowling, and whereas he loved all sports, he had no favorites, but especially liked The Ohio State University Buckeyes and Buffalo Bills. Additionally, Bob was a former American Legion, Moose and Elks Club member.

A hugger by nature, "Huggy Bob" was a jokester, with a strong family bond; he was the patriarch of the family. He also loved his dogs, Brandy and Piper.

A Celebration of Life will be from noon-4 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Arcadia Lions Community Center, 301 W. Brown Rd, Arcadia, Ohio 44804. Please dress casual, comfortable and fun.
