Robert John Stewart

Robert John Stewart, 79, of Catawba Island, Port Clinton, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at his home. Bob was born May 12, 1945, in Cleveland to the late Francis R. and Marie (Moore) Stewart.

After graduating with a B.S. and M.B.A. from the University of Southern California, Bob was a Captain in the United States Coast Guard before beginning his thirty-year career with AT&T, where he worked as a Process Engineer. He enjoyed sailing with the Red Bank Sailing Club, traveling, and spending time with family whenever he could.

Surviving is Bob's spouse, James G. Steele, Catawba Island; niece, Kathleen Stewart, London, England; and nephews, William and Mike Stewart, Los Angeles, and Jack Stewart, Buffalo, NY. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and William Stewart.

Visitation is from 9-10 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2025, at MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL HOME 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria. Burial will follow at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria.
