Richard Wyans Obituary
Richard C. Wyans, 69, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at his home.
He was born March 8, 1956, in Fostoria, to the late Charles and Joan (Fox) Wyans. He married Sandra Bond, and she remains his life partner.
Surviving are four children, Brent Wyans, James (Shawn) Wyans, Christopher Hengsen, and Tanya (Brian) Welly, all of Fostoria; four grandchildren, Jamie, Alexandrea "Ale", Cody and Taylor; and three sisters, Linda (Dan Johnson) Wyans, Barb Wyans and Mary (Bill) Ogle; and nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his life partner, Melissa Cotter.
Richard graduated from Arcadia High School, owned his own construction business called Do It All Construction and worked for SERVPRO. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and canning. Richard was proud of his 20-plus years of sobriety and was an active member of Fostoria Dry Haven.
Visitation is 2-3 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2025, at HOENING FUNERAL HOME, 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830, where funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jared Capelle from Basic Truth Church presiding. Following the service, there will be a funeral luncheon and gathering at Trinity Chapel, located next to the funeral home.
Memorial contribu-tions are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
