Patricia Ann "Pat" Droll
Patricia Ann Droll, fondly known as Pat, gracefully departed this world Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at St. Francis Nursing Home in Tiffin.
She was born Oct. 27, 1935, in Fostoria, and was a beloved daughter of Raphael N. Emerine and Corina M. Miller. Pat was not only a dedicated homemaker, but also made a significant impact during her 13 years of service as a nursing assistant at Wyandot Memorial Hospital.
She touched countless lives with her compassionate care and commitment to helping others. A proud graduate of Arcadia High School in 1953, Patricia carried her warmth and kindness into every endeavor of her life. She cherished her role as a mother and left a legacy of love through her children, Susan (Paul) Lamberjack of Carey, Terry (Susie) Droll of Friendsville, Tennessee, Jerry Droll of LaRue, Diane (Brian) Sanders of Findlay, Joan (Mark) Smalley of McCutchenville, and Mark (Misty) Droll of Upper Sandusky.
Her family will remember her for the strength and support she provided, not to mention the joy that came from her 23 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by her brothers, Norman Emerine of Fostoria and Justin (Martha) Emerine of Findlay; and sister, LaVera (Gaylord) Derr of Carey, who will continue to carry her memory with them.
Pat was a devout catholic and member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church where she was a Lay Distributor, member of the Rosary Altar Society, RCIA Team and prayer chain. She volunteered at St. Peter School in the cafeteria and on the playground. Pat was a member of Wyandot Memorial Guild and Wyandot County Right To Life, as well as a precinct worker at the election polls. Pat enjoyed watching EWTN and Fox News. She was a Trump supporter and an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Pat had a passion for writing letters to the editor each year.
Her passing leaves a void felt deeply within her family and friends, especially as they reflect on the love shared and the moments that defined her Catholic life.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Donald A. Droll; daughter, Rosemarie Racheter; sisters, Jean Niederkohr, Delores Emerine Madonna Emerine, and Mary Emerine; brother, Alton Emerine; daughter-in-law, Becky Droll; and grandson, Dan Smalley, all of whom she loved dearly.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at Bringman Clark Funeral Home. Her family invites all who knew her to join in celebrating her life and sharing in the memories that will forever echo in their hearts at the 8 p.m. prayer service Wednesday at the funeral home.
