Barbara Moyer Obituary

Barbara A. Moyer

Barbara Ann Moyer (Conrad), 86, of Tucson, Arizona, entered her heavenly home January 30, 2026. Born in Bowling Green, Ohio, to Richard and Minnie Conrad, she married the love of her life, Snowden "Sonny" Moyer, November 20, 1959.

Barbara's infectious enthusiasm for life and people defined her. The family attended Trinity United Brethren Church on Thomas Street in Fostoria until they moved to Tucson in 1980.

She had a successful career in banking, eventually serving as a Branch Manager at Bank of America and later as secretary at Central Church of the Nazarene. Whether she was masterfully cross-stitching, cheering for Arizona Wildcats, or welcoming Tucson visitors or newcomers with restaurant, event, or site recommendations, she made everyone feel like they had made a new friend.

She is survived by her husband, Sam (Sonny) and daughter, Debbie (Steve) Storzer.

She was preceded in death by their son, Rick Moyer and her parents, Rev. Richard and Minnie Conrad.

Celebration of Life, 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Central Church of the Nazarene.

Graveside service, 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2026, at East Lawn Palms Mortuary, Tucson, Arizona.

Missing my sweet friend and sending love & prayers for Sam & Deb. Remembering our coffees and talk on the phone, but never as good as getting together. I'm still using my Barb mugs! Love to you as you continue to work through your grief and sadness in the days ahead.

We have truly lost a very kind soul and a caring and loving heart. My parents became friends with Barb and Sam when the first arrived at Central. Mom and Barb, both daughters of preachers shared the love of Christ, the Bible, wit and humor. Barb was such a caring soul. Always making it a point to ask about me, search me out at church and share the love and compassion she had for others. Her time on this earth has been fulfilled. However, the Lord is not done with Barb, he simply needed her with his angels to continue her work of reaching our to others and sharing the Love of Christ, the Bible, her compassion and love for others. My heart is saddened but joyous in knowing Barb is still with us. We may not be able to reach out and give her hugs and share the love and compassion we have for her, but we take comfort in knowing she is with the Lord God and Jesus Christ in Heaven, watching over all of us, and one day we will all celebrate when we gather together in paradise.
Thank you Barb and Sam for giving us the gift of your friendship, your love and your compassion. You will always be in my heart

My Mother, brother and I went to Barbs, Dads church when I was growing up.
Margie, my Mom and Barb became friends, and we visited them, went bowling, have good memories of the Conrads and Moyers.
Barb always had a smile on her face, and very quiet. Always ready to listen if you needed to talk.
Fostoria lost some good people when they moved to Arizona.
God Bless.

We were the neighbors to the north of Rich and Minnie. We loved them and they loved watching our 3 children grow. During the blizzard, Richard helped our boys (Patrick and Kevin) build a snow fort behind the church and had hot chocolate together inside made by Minnie. We remember Barb and Sonny. We send our sympathy from Fostoria, Ohio. Terry and Jean Baker
