Michael J. Veres

Michael J. Veres, 79, of Tiffin, went home to meet his Savior on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022.

Mick was born May 23, 1943, in Fostoria, to the late Andrew and Doris (Lemmon) Veres. He attended Fostoria High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy (Law) Veres, on July 25, 1964, and she survives.

Mick is also survived by his children, Thomas (Leigh Ann) Veres of Fostoria, Tracy (Mike) Thom of Tiffin, and James (Lori) Veres of Republic; six grandchildren, Audrie, Tiarah, Colt, Abigail, Naleena, and Brayli; six great-grandchildren; and brother, David (Maurina) Veres of Fostoria.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Veres.

Mick was grateful for the grace God bestowed on his life and the gift of salvation through his Savior, Jesus Christ. He shared this Gospel message with many over the years. He was an Air Force veteran and retired as a mechanic from AEP in Tiffin. He truly was a loving and devoted family man and loved spending time with his wife in their travel trailer camping and fishing, watching football, and being with their beloved pets. Mick had a knack for just about everything from home remodeling, yard work, car repair, and shared these talents with others as he could. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church. While his Parkinson's diagnosis of 34 years slowed him down, it never found him complaining.

The family wishes to thank Tiffin EMS, Bridge Hospice of Findlay, Tiffin Rehab, Mercy Hospital, and St. Vincent's Hospital for the care and love they gave him while under their care.

Mick's memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2023, at Grace Baptist Church on SR 101 in Tiffin. Burial will be at Fairmont Cemetery at a later date.
