Mary Miller Obituary
Mary L. Miller, 84, of Fostoria, passed away Sunday morning, March 12, 2023, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 11, 1939, in Valley Head, West Virginia, to the late Charles and Pansy (Helmick) Peters. She married Ralph R. Miller Sr. on July 8, 1958, and he survives in Fostoria.
Mary is also survived by three children, Ralph (Deb) Miller Jr. and Darla (Brian) Whitta, both of Fostoria, and Curtis (CJ) Miller of Sunbury; 11 grandchildren, Angela (Jeremy) Miller, Jonathon (MaryBeth) McElwain, Michael Miller, Anthony (Brittany) McElwain, Melissa (Jake) McElwain, Adam (Amy) Miller, Ryan (Taylor) Miller, Joshua (Brittany) Whitta, Sarah (Josh) Hammer, Lauren Miller, and Natalie Miller; 31 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger (Joan) Peters of Alvada; two sisters, Betty Welch and Kathy (Hank) Crumm of Valley Head, West Virginia; faithful protector and leg warmer, Buddy; and long-time family friend, Morgan Suber.
She was also preceded in death by six brothers, Charles, James, Harry, William, Robert Peters, and Johnnie Bennett; and five sisters, Dorothy Brown, Nancy Stein, Velma Fouts, Carol Smith, and Sandra Eddington.
Mary was a 1957 graduate of Jackson Liberty High School and retired from Bendix in Fostoria. She was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed reading her bible, baby sitting, word search puzzles, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Hoening & Son Funeral Home, 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio, 44830. Mary's funeral will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Hatfield presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Wounded Warriors.
