Mary Jo Hensinger Obituary
Mary Jo Hensinger, 91, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023, at her home.
She was born July 3, 1931, in Bucyrus, to Walter and Rosetta (Griffin) Yeisley. She married John Hensinger in 1962 and he preceded her in death in 1996.
Mary Jo's survivors include her sons, Danny (Diane) Keckler and Mike Keckler, both of Tiffin; daughters, Kathy (Michael Terry) McGuire and Jane (Vernon) Terry, both of Tiffin; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, William "Bill" Keckler; daughter, Julie Hoffman; brother, Clifford Yeisley; and sister, Janice Seilheimer.
Mary Jo was a 1949 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School and Fremont Beauty Academy. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin Moose Lodge 846, Elks Lodge 94, AmVets Post 48, and Eagles #402. Mary Jo was a hard working, ambitious woman. She retired at the age of 90 as a caregiver at Renaissance House. Prior to that, she worked at Ballreich's and managed Elks and Tiffin Enterprise. She loved her animals and playing cards and hosted numerous card parties, especially poker parties.
Mary Jo's graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2023, at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation for friends and family will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-2424.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
