Lois Morgart Obituary
Lois M. Morgart, 87, of Bloomdale, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 30, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 24, 1936, in Wayne, to Milo and Pearl M. (Yates) Connell. Lois married Charles "Chase" Morgart on April 2, 1954, in Angola, Indiana, and he very recently preceded her in passing July 4, 2023. They shared almost 70 years of marriage together.
Lois is survived by her children, Mike (Paula) Morgart of Wayne, Ray (Jeannie) Morgart of Bloomdale, Susan Sander of Portage, and Matt (Angie) Morgart of Wayne; sisters, Donna Blose of Toledo, Virginia (George) Amos of Portage, Mary Bersticker of Delta, and Elaine Hagemeyer of Clyde; sister-in-law, Margaret Connell of Oak Harbor; grandchildren, Shawn (Vickie) Morgart, Kristen (Paul) Brickman, Patrice (Matt) Carlson, Cassie (Rob) Boron, Michelle Sander, Sarah (Drew) Simon, Amber (Cory) Miller, Megan (David) Cromley, Brandon (Andrea) Morgart, and Brooke (Kyle) Rosendale; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milo and Pearl; loving husband, Charlie; and brother, William "Bill" Connell.
Lois was a 1954 graduate of Montgomery Local and then dedicated her life to farming alongside her husband, Charlie, and taking care of her family. She had a passion for gardening, growing flowers, planting trees, and her greatest love in life was spending time with her family.
Visitation for friends will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023, at Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne. Lois' celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Andre Laird and Pastor Tom Fant officiating. Immediately following, a graveside service will be at Riverview Cemetery near West Millgrove. Lois' family has requested everyone to dress in casual attire.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
