Linda True Obituary
Linda L. True, 83, of Port Clinton, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026, at Ottawa Riverview Health Care Campus, Oak Harbor. She was born June 21, 1942, in Fostoria, to George and Elizabeth (Groves) Smith. She married Glenn True, May 15, 1971, in Fostoria.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn True; daughters, Phaedra (Rick) Knepper and Courtney (Eric) Hess, all of Port Clinton; son, Santos Otero Toro of Tampa, Florida; sister, Judy (Larry) Cockrell of Utah; grandchildren, Kasey and Caden Swander; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents and father figure, Melvin Snay.
Linda worked as an LPN until her retirement, working at Fostoria Hospital and areas nursing homes. She was a graduate of Fostoria High School and LPN school. She loved coloring, reading, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Mark Self officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2026, and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, both at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to American Lung Association.
