Leslie Brewer Obituary

Leslie A. Brewer

Leslie A. Brewer, 59, of Fostoria, passed away peacefully Monday, April 17, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 2, 1964, in Toledo, to Armand L. "Doc" and Barbara A. (Bowyer) Myers. Leslie married her high school sweetheart, Kent Brewer, in 1989 at Risingsun First Church of God.

Leslie is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Kent; brother, Troy (Korrina) Myers of Findlay; sister, Candace (Jimmy) Sherman of Fostoria; and nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Kody, Teddy, Trevor, Tabitha, Travis, Jen, Jeff, Jesse, Troyboy, Alexandria, Lauralea, Kristin, Kyle, Nicole, Lacey, Myranda, Shaneal, Darry Jr., Matt, and James.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Armand and Barbara; and brother, Lance Myers.

Leslie was a 1982 graduate of Lakota High School where she was Valedictorian of her class. She attended Bowling Green State University and earned a master's degree in business from Tiffin University with Cum Laude honors. She worked the past 12 years as a Finance Accountant at Dana Corporation in Toledo. She enjoyed spending time at Hayes Presidential Center in Fremont for more than 10 years as a special event volunteer and participated in the Big Brother/Big Sister Program.

Leslie has always been a very ambitious person, always helping and putting other people first. She had the best love for life and was the glue that held her family together. Among many hobbies, she was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, canoeing, walking, camping, snowmobiling, and just being outdoors in general. She also had a love for animals, traveling, sightseeing, and spending almost every weekend during the summer at Fremont Speedway watching races.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2023, at Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne. Leslie's celebration of life service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Chestnut Grove Cemetery near Bradner with a luncheon immediately following at Risingsun Community Park Building.

Memorial donations may be made to Sandusky County Humane Society or Fremont Speedway Hall of Fame.

I never met Leslie but felt I knew her. She volunteered with my husband Ross at the Hayes Center and worked with son Ned at Dana. They both enjoyed knowing her and often mentioned what I kind person she was. Our deepest sympathy goes out to her husband and Family. Ross and Blanche McCormick and Ned McCormick
