Kenneth Thallman Obituary
Kenneth E. "Kenny" Thallman, 78, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.
Kenny was born Jan. 14, 1945, in Tiffin, to Willard and Cornelia (Rogers) Thallman. He married Carolyn (Shane) on May 22, 1966, at Bascom United Methodist Church, and she survives in Tiffin.
Kenny's other survivors include a daughter, Kimberly (David) Clouse of Freeland, Michigan; sons, Kirt (MeiLan) Thallman of Lexington, Kentucky, and Kent (Roxanne) Thallman of Marysville; six grandchildren, Ryan (Alyssa) Clouse, Nathan Thallman, Naomi Thallman, Olivia Thallman, Emily (Christian) Colvin, and Paige Thallman; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Clouse; and brother, Don (Janet) Thallman of Fostoria.
Kenny was a 1963 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School where he participated in Future Farmers of America. A lifelong farmer, Kenny also worked as a lineman for Ohio Power for 34 years. He was an active member of Bascom Community Church his entire life and shared his love for Jesus in many ministries. Kenny also served his country and the community through involvement in the National Guard, Bascom Elevator board, and Fostoria Sharing Kitchen. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed helping others, even giving the proverbial shirt off his back. Fishing, fixing things, and spending time with his children and grandchildren were some of his favorite pastimes. He will be sorely missed.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, David and Gerald Thallman.
Kenny's funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, at Bascom Community Church. Visitation for family and friends will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. Burial will follow services Wednesday at Seneca Memory Gardens with a lunch at the church after the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bascom Community Church.
