Karen Jones Obituary

Karen L. Jones

Karen L. Jones, 73, of Fostoria, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Spring Creek Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Green Springs.

She was born March 19, 1952, in Fremont, to Richard E. "Dick" and Naomi L. (Kane) Kreais.

Karen was a graduate of Lakota High School. A nurse's aide at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria for 26 years, retiring in 2003, her job was her passion. She was a very caring, loving and understanding person. She kept others grounded and together, and while she was an unbiased listener, she willingly offered her opinion. She had a great sense of humor and was a mean Yahtzee player.

Karen loved daisies and knew every species. Enjoying nature and the outdoors, Karen also enjoyed watching birds and squirrels. Most dear to her heart were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her dogs. Her family meant the world to her and did everything she could to help. No matter what it was, she was there to show how much she cared.

Surviving are her husband, Richard "Ryan" Jones of Fostoria; daughter, Rachelle (Tom) Wedge of Marion; and son, David Good (Ashlee Marcy) of Fostoria. She also had four grandchildren, Kyrstin, Brooklyn, Jesse, and Jazmine; and two great-grandchildren, Graison and Madden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sarah King; and sister, Marcia Lamberjack.
