Josephine Hunt Obituary
Josephine Lucy Hunt, 100, of Newark, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 22, 1921, in Fostoria, to Roy L. and Jennie Elizabeth (Konst) Nye.
Josephine retired from Department of Defense. She was a parishioner of Church of the Blessed Sacrament. She enjoyed listening to audio books, bowling, and camping.
She is survived by her husband, Jacob Lorenze Hunt; two sons, Christian (Diana) Fouts of Wayne and Kevin Hunt of Pataskala; two daughters, Karen (Victor) Lucas of Columbus and Karla (Daniel) Rodriguez of Texas; five grandchildren, Jerry (Tonya) Roe Jr. of Pemberville, Sherry (David) Elliott of Hanover, Stacee (Brian) Shultz of Pemberville, Michael Rodriguez of Texas, and Ben Rodriguez of Texas; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Tina Fouts; grandson, Nicholas Rodriguez; and two brothers, Charles E. Nye and Alvin Leroy Nye.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, at Church of the Blessed Sacrament, with Fr. Anthony Lonzo as celebrant. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022, at St. Wendelin Catholic Cemetery, Fostoria.
Family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, where a vigil service will be at 5:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
