Joan Louise Corey-Bauman

Joan Louise Corey-Bauman, 85, of Fostoria, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, at Fostoria ProMedica Hospital. She was born April 1, 1937, in Wauseon, to Frank and Edna (Schlegel) Johnson. She fist married Wayne B. Corey on June 5, 1954, and he passed away Nov. 29, 1966. She then married Charles E. Bauman on Jan. 12, 1968, and he passed away Dec. 13, 1985.

She is survived by two sons, Mark (Lynn) Bauman and David (Doris) Corey, both of Fostoria; two daughters, Cindy (Steve) Hammond of Fostoria and Gail (Jennifer Watrous) Bauman of Ontario, California; grandchildren, Jeff (Tamara) Hammond, Tony (Shannon) Hammond, Hannah Bauman, Morgan and Austin Corey, Drew (Kelli) Bauman, and Catherine Watrous-Bauman; great-grandchildren, Carter, Zachary, Sophia, and Landry Hammond, Dominic, Jackson, and Laney Bauman, and Grayson and Emerson Bauman.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sisters, Orpha Andrews, Mary Grandstaff, Donna Engel, and Ruth Ann Towers; and brothers, Raymond and Wayne Johnson.

Joan was a homemaker and worked at Readmore Books in Fostoria. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. She was an avid sports fan. She liked watching tennis, golf, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. She bowled in leagues with Charles and always enjoyed attending her grandkids and great-grandkids' music and sporting events.

Joan's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Pastor Robin Kapostasy officiating. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at the funeral home.
