Janice Ellen Moffett Alt

Janice Ellen Moffett Alt, 76, of Tiffin and formerly of New Lexington, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

She was born April 3, 1948, in Tiffin to Paul and Imogene (Funk) Moffett. She married Jerome Alt, and they later divorced.

Survivors include her daughter, Angela (David) Crate of Junction City; brother, Dave (Carmen) Moffett of Dallas, Georgia; sisters, Barbara Kingsmore of Macedonia and Mary (Shinichi Kozuka) Moffett of Heber City, Utah; and two grandchildren, Donald Abram III and Allexis Abram.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Timothy W. Alt; brothers, Paul Moffett and Tom Moffet; and sister, Marlene Cotner.

Janice graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1968. Before moving from Tiffin, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and worked at GE, Ponderosa, and then Frisch's. Janice was an OSU fan, enjoyed volunteering at Calvert when her kids were in school, attended her grandchildren's school activities, coloring and drawing, and loved dogs.

Graveside Service will be at noon Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Deacon Greg Siebenaller officiating.
