James Nomina Obituary
James L. Nomina Jr., 60, of Fostoria, passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, at his home. He was born Nov. 9, 1961, in Fostoria, to James L. and Janice Nomina. He married Kristin Davison in Baumholder, Germany, and they later divorced.
He is survived by his parents, James L. and Janice "Jan" Nomina of Fostoria; brother, Nicholas G. (Lauren) Nomina of Fostoria; special nieces and nephews, Rachel Nomina-Sharp, Amber aka Aaron Nomina, and Gabriel Nomina; great-nephew, Vance Sharp; and many special cousins.
James grew up in the Fostoria Assembly of God church. He was a 1979 graduate of Fostoria High School where his was active in the band, choir, and theater. James was also a U.S. Army veteran, serving many years in Germany where he became a Sergeant and Tank Commander in the 2-68 Armor Division. He was very knowledgeable in computers and wrote programs for Bowling Green State University and taught at Owens.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022, and 12-1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022. James' funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Timothy Neller officiating. Burial will be at Fountain Cemetery, Fostoria, with military honors performed by United Veterans of Fostoria.
Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
