James (Jim) Francis Dariano

James (Jim) Francis Dariano, 60, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 29, 1964, in Tiffin and was a proud Tiffin City Schools alumnus. Jim was known for his infectious smile, sense of humor, and warm heart.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Rosemary (Rose) Dariano; children, Joshua (Martina) Dariano, Brittany (Gino) Botton, Daniel (Wendy) Cahill, and Traci Cahill; grandchildren, Cayelee, Kennedy, Kirsten, Riley, Oskar, Marlene, Helen, Francesco; and great-granddaughter, Kingsley. Jim is also remembered by his parents, Frank and Rita Dariano; siblings, Mike Dariano, Rick Dariano, and Annette (Branislav) Dariano Gjorcevski, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mark Nichols.

Jim dedicated his life to family, faith, and service. He retired from Webster due to health challenges but remained active in his community and as a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. An avid outdoorsman, Jim loved camping, fishing, and spending time at his Walnut Grove campsite, where he created countless memories with friends and family. He also had a passion for karaoke, photography, games, and solving puzzles. Known for his jokes, he kept the spirit lighthearted and fun. Even in death, Jim continued his legacy of kindness and selflessness by giving others the gift of life. His generosity will live on in the hearts of those he helped.

A Mass celebrating Jim's life will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin, followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. A gathering to honor his memory will follow at noon at AMVETS in Tiffin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

Jim will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
