Ida M. Cooley

Ida M. Cooley, 91, of Tiffin, died at 10:23 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026, at St. Francis Home.

Ida was born March 19, 1934, in Bloomville, to Charles B. and Anita A. (Miller) McCleland. She married D. Harold Cooley, March 7, 1954, in Bloomville, and he died December 25, 2024.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. Joel Cooley of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and David (Sandra) Cooley of Tiffin; a daughter, DeAnna (Chris) Hufford of Bloomville; four grandchildren, Teá Cooley, Jonathan Hufford, Janelle (Eric) Smith, and Justin (Kari) Turpin; three great-grandchildren, Mason Trumbull, Maddi Turpin, and Myla Turpin; a sister, Ann Meeker of Henderson, Nevada; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother-in-law, David Meeker, and a stepbrother and sister-in-law, Jack (Beth) Myers.

Ida was a graduate of Bloomville High School and Tiffin University. She worked for Tiffin City School system and Allen Eiry Senior Center. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Tiffin Antiques Club and Red Hat Society. She had been involved in many prayer groups at various churches.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at TRAUNERO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 (419) 447-3113, with the Rev. Katie Treadway officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Private burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bloomville.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to American Heart Association or St. Francis Home Chiara Center.
