Eugene Margraf Obituary
Eugene Arthur Margraf, 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 30, 2022, in the comfort of his home with family by his side.
He was reunited with his loving wife of 63 years, Carolyn (Flugga) Margraf, who preceded him in death in Nov., 2021.
Eugene was born May 2, 1932, in Tiffin, to Eugene F. and Margret L. (Schultz) Margraf. Eugene was a Hopewell-Loudon High School graduate. He worked at American Telephone Company as a repairman and retired after 33 years of service. Eugene was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War who was presented with the Medal of Valor. He was a long-time member of Amvets, Moose, VFW, and Korean War Veterans Association.
Eugene is survived by five daughters, Jennifer Margraf-Pavlidis and Shari (Robert) Burkmier, both of Findlay, Tracy Margraf (Jerry Yost), Lori Margraf (Roger Morgart) of Deltona, Florida, and Kelly Margraf of Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida; eight grandchildren, Christopher Pavlidis, Eleana Pavlidis, and Alexandros Pavlidis, all of Findlay, Shawn (Serina) Burkmier of Findlay, Andrew Burkmier of Fostoria, Jennifer Burkmier (Ryan Salucci) of Lowell, Massachusetts, Shayna Yarbrough of Fostoria, and Patrick Pavlidis of Columbus; two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Jameson Burkmier of Findlay; and sister, Carolyn Hiser of Tiffin.
Eugene was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Q. Margraf; and grandparents, Jacob and Katharine Schultz.
Eugene's funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2022, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500, with Fr. Peter Grodi officiating. Interment will follow at St. Wendelin Cemetery, Fostoria.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions in Eugene's name may be made to charity of the donor's choice.
